Stockholm, Sweden!

I recently traveled to Stockholm with two Danish friends from my soccer team, Chanett and Lonnie. We wanted to visit our Icelandic friend Ros, who had moved to Stockholm in order to further develop her PhD research - she is trying to develop stem cells from sperm cells.

It was a quick weekend with a cheap flight, but still nice to get away. Sweden is very much like Denmark - the whole Scandinavian feel. Yet it is somehow different. I think the people are more overtly friendly than Danes are, which is kind of nice. However, we were all looking for the stereotypical Swedes - beautiful, blonde hair, blue eyes - and could not find them anywhere! I think Danes are better looking in general.

Although it was a quick trip, at least I got to getaway for a bit and check another country off my list :)

Big trash bags on the side of the road

I thought the handles in bathrooms were cool, and how you had to lock them

Lonnie and the little streets

This is a Swedish classic that I did not try - a snappy hot dog with fish, rolled in a tortilla

Check out how he has to get out of the car to open the garage to park

A cute park

Dome of a church

Out at the local 'club'

A dorm building

It was hilarious - this dog was scared of the fur and kept barking at it

Cute little narrow and short passageway

Strollers outside with babies - in Sweden too!

Love the accessibility for strollers

These are all forms of cheese - in a non-refrigerated section
